DRAFT 1 MAGAZINE

I am happy with my first draft of my front cover. However may need to change the colours of my font due to the colourings of the picture. It may be hard to read if the font and background colour are similiar. I feel the colour scheme suits the indie genre and gives off an retro vibe. I turned around the R on reverse to emphasise the duo's name. I added other artists and bands names to make the magazine look like it's featuring them, which could attract a bigger audience. 

I do like my contents page but the text may overcrowd the image and may be unlear. 

I like the double page but i may have to change the fomt to make it clearer and level out the images. 

HOUSE STYLE

The specific usage and editing conventions followed by writers and editors to ensure stylistic consistency in a particular publication or series of publications (newspapers, magazines, journals, websites, books).This can help a magazine noticeable and stand out to it's audience. Magazine's such as Q use the same house style e.g. colour scheme and font, throughout their magazine. Having it's own house style means it will be different from other magazines.

With this i will use the same colour scheme throughout my magazine to create the sense of house style and synergy. I will also use the same fonts to make sure the continuity of my magazine will flow without problems or the magazine to be confusing to it's audience. 

TEST SHOTS

Here i have analysed my test shots to give an idea of what i'd like for my magazine.

TODAYS LESSON

In todays lesson i have been working on analysing my test shots on prezi. I aim to upload this tonight at home as well as uploading my house style and synergy. I will work on taking more shots for my final magazine to then finally construct it. 

LAYOUT AND DESIGN

This simple layout will make the background and main subject on the magazine stand out and attract the audience. It will be also simple and easy to read for my audience.

My contents page will be in chronological order so it will be easy for the audience to read my contents and know what pages to turn to. I have also made this page simple to stick with the simple theme on the front cover. 

My double page spread is also simple and will be easy to read for my audience. The drop cap will signal where the article is starting and the text will flow around the image of the artist. The quote will also hint more of the article and attract readers.
