Evaluation plan

Question 1: In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

• I will use Prezi to carry out this answer.
• I will talk about how research and planning has been an important part on how i have applied the R'n'B genre to my music video.
• I will then talk about how they are featured in my music video and compare to other R'n'B videos such as 'Miss Teeq Scandalou' and other popular R'n'B artists.
• I will then compare how my digipak and website will use the codes and conventions of an advertisement and how this will attract an audience.
• Throughout i will talk about what i have learnt from my research and planning on codes and conventions.
• I will feature screen grabs and images of other videos and media products to then compare to my own.

• Here i will talk about the importance of house style and brand identity.
• I will also talk about i have used brand identity and house style in my media products and how they all have a continuous theme throughout. 
• I will also talk about colour schemes and why i have used them in my media products.

• Lastly I will use screenshots of my media products to compare.

• Here i will talk about how important audience feedback is on my media products as it will help improve and update my products. 
• I will use screenshots of positive and negative feedback to see how i can improve my media products and also why they are good.

Digipak photoshoot

For my main construction pictures of my digipak my group got together to take pictures. Leah dressed in an outfit very similar to the actual video to make sure we had a continuity to link to our digipaks. Overall we took a series of photos and shots to make sure we all had a variety to choose from. We also used bright lighting to make sure the quality of the photos are the best we can get as we used an Iphone 6s. I will use serif page plus to edit my photos to the desired look i am going for. Here is an example of what i will be using.

Website research

After researching Digipaks and Adverts i decided to research artists in the R'n'B websites as well. I chose Fergie due to the fact our music video is of her single 'Glamorous' and will feature the codes and conventions an R'n'B advertisement/webiste would have.

The homepage is simplistic with her latest single 'LA LOVE's music video taking up the whole page. This attracts an audience as it is the main focus of the page. Automatically watching the video will increase it's views and gain more attention. This seems to be a code and convention to a website of any genre and is a good promotional method.

The website homepage also has links to her social media accounts such as: Twitter, Facebook and Google. This is also another promotional method and also allows her fans to have easy access to her social media accounts so they are able to communicate with her whenever, The homepage seems to keep a house theme - black and pink throughout the page. The only other colours are what is on the music video,

The bottom right button then says 'Enter sight' and directs us to her /home. 

Here Fergie has an endless scroll of her social media accounts, the dominant: Twitter. This is also easy for her fans to catch up with what she's been up too and communicate with her. She has stuck to her house style: Black and Pink from the other homepage. This page also features her social media accounts at a bar at the top hand right of the page. The top of the page is titled with different locations you are able to access on the website such as "Events" "Albums" "News" "Photos" "Videos" and "Store". Throughout all the website pages it features the same background with the bold picture of Fergie on the left hand side, with her signature name and font on the right hand side. The same font and colouring is featured throughout.
