Question 1
Codes and conventions used:

Duo named ‘Reverse’, wearing plain but daring clothing, minimal and plain
makeup/hair but bold lips, mid shot of duo, relaxed posture.
- Captions/headlines-
“Exclusive interviews.”
- Title-

“Independent vibe magazine.”
- Pugs-
Circle with “Win £100 worth of iTunes vouchers.”
- House
style/colours- Pink, white and Navy.
- Range
of contents and pages- 35 pages featured.

Question 2/4
- Aimed
at young adults 15-25.
- Addresses
audience formally but fits my audience’s age range.
- Aimed
at both genders but may fall to females more due to who is being featured
in the magazine and the results to my survey.
- Cartoon
like font.
- Duo
‘Reverse’ can relate and is aimed at young adults.
- What
is featured in the magazine is aimed at what young adults would want e.g.
exclusive interviews and chances to win things.
- Colour scheme- Pink, white and Navy.
Question 3
- Online
shopping e.g. website for the magazine- the internet is becoming even more
popular and online subscriptions can be easier for people so it will be
delivered to their doors.
- Supermarkets
who can sell copies in store and online- supermarkets are where people
shop for everyday things and magazines may distract them to buy it or be
an easy place for them to access them.
- Retail shops such as WH Smith, newsagents, book stores and music stores- magazines can be the main focus to sell in these stores and also easy to buy magazines in.
Question 5

- Although
been able to edit pictures before, serif page plus was new to me.
- Been able to use various tools e.g. outlines, cutting tool etc.

Qu1- don't forget how you developed and challenged as well as what you used. Consider why codes and conventions are important
ReplyDeleteQu2/4- if you choose to combine these make sure you know the difference between representation (how urban artists and music stars are presented as a social group) and who the audience fir the mag is- how would you define them? Go back to the initial research you did
Qu3- Go back to the research on magazine publishers as well and your main rivals in the market place
Qu5- Too brief- have some feedback and look at language used to appeal.
Qu6- Look at what other technology you used- blog/cameras etc
